Who we are

About Us: The Long Version

The Foundation Hester’s Hollow is owned and operated by Aaron Hester. Aaron’s approach to the forge is built on a foundation of discipline, starting with his service in the 82nd Airborne as a line medic. Today, he combines the precision of a professional machinist with the traditional craft of a lead blacksmith to build tools that do not fail.

The Evolution We have been in business for six years. Many know our roots as Delta 13 Forge, characterized by our Serial 60s and the "Knives Not for Murder" brand. As the craft evolved, so did the mission. We transitioned to Hester’s Hollow to move away from assembly-line models and back to the heart of the craft: building one-of-a-kind knives that honor the hand of the user.

The Standard We believe a tool is only as good as it feels in a working hand. At Hester’s Hollow, we value comfort and dexterity as much as we value the aesthetics of the build. We don’t use templates, and we don’t repeat designs. When you see a blade on our bench, it is a singular original—forged, ground, and fitted to last a lifetime.

Education & Community The craft is meant to be shared. This summer, Aaron will be passing on the discipline of the blade as he leads a knife-building class through Murray State College. Whether at the college or in our own shop, the goal remains the same: honest work that speaks for itself.
